I’m not sure if anything is actually in focus in this picture. The great thing is that it doesn’t matter. I like the colors — they are a bit cold but it was already late in the day — and the fuzziness the lensbaby adds, especially at such small apertures. Perhaps in part I enjoy this so much because it forms a nice contrast to my current project, where I have to check hundreds of details first, while here I just grab the lens, tilt it and see if I like the result (and if not I can throw it away, no harm done). Instant gratification perhaps?
Ich bin nicht sicher, ob irgendwas in diesem Bild scharf ist. Das tolle ist, dass das gar keine Rolle spielt. Ich mag die Farben — sie sind etwas kalt, aber es war schon spät — und die unscharfen Bereiche, die das Lensbaby macht, besonders bei so kleinen Blendenöffnungen. Vielleicht macht mir das teilweise auch deshalb so viel Spaß, weil es einen schönen Kontrast zu meinem aktuellen Projekt bildet, bei dem ich erstmal Hunderte von Details überprüfen muss, während ich hier einfach die Kamera nehme, die Linse verdrehe und schaue, ob mir das Ergebnis gefällt (und wenn nicht, kann ich es einfach löschen, auch kein Problem). Sofortige Belohnung?
